GIRLS SOCCER BLITZ
First and Second year girls played a soccer blitz last week at CCA organised by Transition Year students. Over 30 girls took part with great enthusiasm and skill. Captain of the winning team and player of the tournament was Lydia Sinnott-Elliott. We look forward to seeing all the girls at the next training session.

Coláiste Chraobh Abhann’s First year boys Gaelic football team were unfortunate to lose their semi-final last week to Avondale Community College: the final score was 3-5 to 3-1. Well done to all the team members for their huge effort.
SENIOR OPTIONS AFTERNOON
Our Third year and TY students were given a special preview of the range of Leaving Certificate subject options available at Coláiste Chraobh Abhann at a ‘Senior Options Afternoon’ last Friday, organised by Fifth year LCVP students. Each subject was showcased by students who are studying it at Senior Cycle, with junior students encouraged to ask questions and probe the relevance of each subject to their areas of career interest.
