SWEDISH PARTNER SCHOOL VISIT
We welcome our partner students and teachers from Helsingborg, Sweden who are visiting Coláiste Chraobh Abhann this week as part of our two-year Comenius school partnership. The students and teachers will spend time in classes, doing sports, Irish dancing and other activities during their visit. On Thursday evening, there will be a concert celebrating the musical aspect of the partnership. On Friday, the visitors and the school choir will go to Kilcoole Primary school where they will perform with the primary school pupils. Many thanks to Ms Armstrong and the Transition Year choir for their hard work in preparing for this visit.

We wish the very best of luck to the CCA students who have entered the ‘Sean Dunne Writers Award’ for 2013. The award recognises outstanding writing from young writers and seeks to encourage young people to write poetry, fiction and drama. The awards will be made in March.
TY COFFEE MORNING
Our Transition year students organised a very successful coffee morning and table quiz on Monday. They invited fifteen members of the Wicklow Active Retirement group who attended the morning, as well as teachers and pupils from CCA. Well done to the TY students who organised this activity.
FIFTH YEAR PARENT-TEACHER-STUDENT AND MENTORING MEETING
Many thanks to the parents and guardians of our Fifth year students, who attended last week’s parent-teacher-student and mentoring evening. All students met with their teacher mentor, who will guide them in study planning and college choices towards their Leaving Certificate. It was a busy evening and thanks to all the teachers, parents and students for their hard work and commitment.
Camogie training will take place each Monday from 4-5pm on the school pitch, for all players. New members are welcome so please come along and join Ms Donnelly!

Martin will be taking part in activities with students in and out of class, through the medium of French, to encourage our students to actively participate in speaking French and to promote it as a ‘living language’ in our school community.
GIRLS GAELIC FOOTBALL
Girls’ Gaelic football training has resumed with Ms Doyle and Mr Rice. All new and current players should attend on the main pitch on Wednesday after school.
