OPEN NIGHT 2013

Preparations are almost complete for this year’s annual ‘Open Night’ which takes place tomorrow, Thursday October 24th.  This night gives an opportunity to prospective and current parents and members of our community to visit our school.  Students and staff will be showcasing the range of academic, extra-curricular and sporting activities which take place in our school, as well as the work of our student council, our choir, dancing, drama and the many more roles our students play in their rich and diverse school life.

SENIOR CAMOGIE

Hard luck to the senior camogie team who were recently beaten by a very strong Dominican side.  The team played very well and were unlucky to lose out in the end by a score of 2-5 to 5 points.  The team was: Holly Martin, Niamh Short, Sinéad Roche, Ava Condon, Jade Byrne, Sinéad Kinsella, Rachel Finnegan, Leanne Carlin Hannon, Sarah Byrne, AnneLiese Dunne, Sarah Gammell, Robyn Phipps-Rooney, Ella Neary, Alannah Bellamy, Lorna Fanthom, Ciara Kelly, Rachel Crimes, Alana Dole and Orla Bradshaw.  Player of the match was top scorer Leanne Carlin Hannon.  Well done to all involved.

GREEN SCHOOLS COMMITTEE

This year, the Green Flag is based on the theme of water.  The Green Schools committee are running a photography competition to raise school awareness in this area and are inviting all students to enter a photo based on this theme.  Entries should be given to Mr Ó Súilleabháin or to any Green Schools committee member.
