FIGURES ADD UP FOR SCHOOL BANKERS

Bank of Ireland and Coláiste Chraobh Abhann celebrated a great year of partnership recently, where Branch Manager Mary Fahey hosted a reception for the school bank team and made a presentation to the school to mark their hard work on the various initiatives they are involved in with the bank.  The students of Coláiste Chraobh Abhann worked hard on the school bank initiative which saw six transition year students set up and ran their own school bank with the support of Bank of Ireland.  Hurling star Henry Shefflin visited the school and launched the bank and the students spent the year educating their peers on the value of saving and good financial management.  Other projects which the bank work with the students on include Junk Kouture, the Inter-schools Business quiz and enterprise town events.  Branch Manager Mary Fahey presented the school with a cheque and an iPad to Jade Byrne who was the manager of the Transition Year Bank.
