STUDENT ENTERPRISE NATIONAL FINALS
Well done to Dylan Symes and Sam Ireland from Transition Year who took part in the National Finals of the Student Enterprise Awards in Croke Park on Wednesday 3rd of May with their business Wild Wicklow Crafts.
Dylan and Sam were representing Wicklow in the final and were competing against thirty other companies from all round the country, with 22,000 participants competing in this national competition annually. It was an extra special event for CCA as our previous National Winner from 2016, Luke Byrne was the Co-Host of the awards ceremony along with 2FM DJ Rick O'Shea.
The packed audience in the Croke Park Event Centre were all very impressed with Luke's confidence and stage presence. Well done to Luke, Dylan and Sam and to Mr Blake for all his guidance and support.
Well done to all our exam students who have begun the practical exams. To 5KRE and 6THN who sat their interviews last week. To the Leaving Cert Home Economics classes who completed their practical exams, the Agricultural Science students who sat their interviews last Friday, and to the 6th Year Engineering class who also completed their practical exam on Thursday and Friday of last week.

Thanks to the PE Department for coordinating this big school event.
The CCA talent Show will take place on Thursday the 10th of May with numerous acts taking part including ‘The Country School Girls’ The Greatest Showgirls’ and solo performances from Bobby Dowling, Ayisha White and Luigi Rea. Best of luck to all involved.
The Transition Year students enjoyed a very engaging motivational talk from Dr. Ruth Daly (Maynooth University) who spoke to the students about their options for college choices, how to settle back into the Leaving Cert study and how to maximise your potential in whatever career choice you choose. Thanks to Ms McDonagh for organising this event.
