TY EXHIBITION NIGHT
The CCA Transition Year Exhibition Night took place on Tuesday 30th of May with the TY students celebrating their achievements throughout the year. Each student displayed their numerous projects and folders of excellence, with students describing their many highlights of TY, including the trip to Causey Farm, the Musical, the Gaisce hike, the German exchange, and much more besides.
TY Year Head Mr Kennedy awarded the TY Rogha na Bliana to Ódhran Wall and Jenitta Jimmy for their outstanding participation, contribution and commitment to TY this year and thanked all the TY students for their enthusiasm and participation in making this another very successful Transition Year in Coláiste Chraobh Abhann.
Well done to the Coláiste Chraobh Abhann TY Girls’ Team who completed the TY Schools Mini Marathon 10km challenge on the 3rd of June. This initiative was set up by the VHI Women's Mini Marathon to encourage schools to increase girls’ fitness levels by walking or jogging the 10km event.
The CCA Transition Year team, made up of Holly Bates, Amy McManus, Ciara Dease, Megan Quigley and Teegan Grant, followed a nutritional plan and trained weekly in preparation for this event. Thanks to Ms. Sarah McManus who completed the marathon with the girls and to Ms. Smith for organising the event.
We are sorry to say goodbye to all our international students who joined Coláiste Chraobh Abahnn for the 2017-2018 academic year. They were excellent ambassadors to their respective schools and we hope they enjoyed their time with us here in CCA.
BEST OF LUCK
We wish all our 3rd and 6th Year students the very best of luck as they commence their State Exams on Wednesday the 6th of June. Go n-éirí libh go léir.
HAVE A HAPPY SUMMER
Thanks to all our school community who helped make 2017-2018 such a successful year in the life of CCA.
Wishing all our students, staff and parents a very enjoyable and relaxing summer.
