TY Workshop on Community Development

Our TY Community & Voluntary class & Enterprise class took part in an informative & interactive workshop facilitated by Greystones Family Resource Centre recently. Students learned about the important work that the GFRC & others provide in our local community as well as the impact of volunteering in making our community a better place to live.

Athletics

Well done to our athletes who competed in the Mile Challenge held in the Charlesland track. There was a super effort from all of our students, but special mention goes to our medal winners Enda Leacy, Noah Little, Kacey Kelly, Oscar Durston, Aoibhinn Keating, Amber Scully, Luke Fitzpatrick, Aaron Killick & Dillon Hunt. We also had winners in the throwing competition. Well done to Zach Dunne, Noah Little, Kasey Kelly & Adam Keane.

5th Year History

They 5th Year History students attended a visit to Leinster House , Kildare Street with thanks to Minister Simon Harris. The tour was informative and engaging thanks to Richard , our tour guide. Students were afforded the opportunity to sit in the Dail and Seanad as the government was in recess with international visits to celebrate St Patrick’s Day . Minister Harris extended his apologies at not being able to meet the students today as he is in San Francisco but they have been emailed their questions to his constituency office for a reply in the future . The students had free time with an opportunity to revisit the History Museum to get ideas for their RSR’s.

Equestrian

A massive congratulations to Aoife, Lillian, Sophie and Aisling who represented CCA in the Marlton Equestrian League Final. They braved the miserable weather to finish in first place in the secondary schools team show-jumping competition. With all of the teams finishing on equal faults, CCA’s quick times left the team out in front.

Student of the Month Awards

This special CCA initiative has been a focus of our schools approach to promoting the holistic development of each student. The students who received the awards have excelled in all areas of school life during the past month. Well done to award winners!

Enterprise Awards

Well done to our fantastic students and staff on their recent awards at the Wicklow Final of the Student Enterprise Programme. We were delighted to take the opportunity for them to showcase their awards together.
