Science and Criminology Workshop

On Wednesday 11th October, TY students took part in a Science and Criminology workshop organised by Ms Horgan. They were first shown how to use a micropipette and they learned all about the different kind of measurements that are used when testing DNA. They practiced setting the micropipettes to the correct measurements and practiced pouring them out. Next they used their knowledge about how the micropipettes work to create pictures with the liquids. After learning how to use the equipment they got to start the real experiment.

Girls Football

Great win for our senior girls team in their first match of the season vs St. Kevin's. The girls played some very impressive football with goals coming from Nessa Drumgoole, Chloe Lowry and Yasmin Bishop. Final score 5:10 to 0:07

Congratulations to the 1st year girls Gaelic team who played their first match for CCA this morning. The girls battled hard against a strong St Kevin's team and while they unfortunately came out with a loss they put on a fine display of football. They settled into the game the further it progressed and kicked and impressive 5-5. We have no doubt they have bright futures ahead in the CCA jersey. Well done to all!
